Introduction
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the recent NDIS group pricing changes?
If so, you're not alone.
Many NDIS providers are grappling with the increased administrative burden, but there's good news Astalty has a solution! Before we dive into the solution, let’s talk about how we got here.
Transitional Pricing
Under the previous NDIS Pricing Arrangements (many moons ago), group pricing was referred to as 'Transitional Pricing’. Transitional Pricing covered the cost of the support, the Centre Capital Costs (CCC), as well as the Non-face-to-Face (NF2F).
It simplified many administrative processes by bundling all essential charges into one support line item, streamlining transactions and reducing complexity.
The image above shows a previous line item for 1:2 Group Supports in a Centre (TTP) under the Transitional Pricing Arrangements.
Apportioned Pricing
The shift to 'Apportioned Pricing' for group support has complicated the many internal administrative process. It now requires the seperation of the support line item, CCC, and NF2F charges.
….. confusing, right?
This change forces providers to itemise, separate, and calculate these costs when preparing quotes, budgets or Service Agreements, significantly increasing the administrative load.
Not to mention, the added complexity for Participants trying to understand what this all means!
The image above shows the three distinct support items that need to utilised under the Apportined Pricing model.
When it comes to Apportioned Pricing, these changes have significantly increased the workload for providers in calculating budgets, preparing quotes, and finalising the Service Agreement.
In this blog, we will explore how you can utilise Astaltys software and its unique features to make group pricing a breeze!
Built-in Budget Calculator
Astalty features an advanced budget calculator that gives you immediate access to the latest Pricing Arrangements. This tool efficiently calculates budgets based on specified plan dates. Simply select the support items, and within seconds, you'll have an accurate cost estimate for the services you intend to provide.
Configure your Apportioned Prices
Astalty enables you to store the apportioned cost prices, assign a recognisable name, and effortlessly use this custom configuration for future reference - eliminating the need to apportion the costs manually each time you create a budget, quote or agreement.
The image above displays a support item that has been entered into Astalty twice, each with a unique description to differentiate the two apportioned prices.
Support Item Description: Templates
For each support item added in Astalty, you can create a custom description to use when constructing your Service Agreement. Astalty saves these descriptions, enabling you to easily select the right template for future agreements. This feature not only ensures consistency but also significantly reduces the time spent on creating complex group-based Service Agreements.

All these unique features flow seamlessly into the generation of a Service Agreement.
Suppose you've just created a quote for a Participant, you can conveniently revisit this quote at any time. When you're ready to proceed with the Service Agreement, simply click 'Generate Service Agreement' to seamlessly transition from a quote to a Service Agreement.
This action automatically transfers the budget details into a Service Agreement, creating a comprehensive schedule of support. The agreement seamlessly incorporates all the Participant's details using our convenient placeholders.
In less than five minutes, your group Service Agreement is prepared and ready to be sent through our DocuSign integration or exported as a PDF for physical signing, depending on Participant preference of course!

To simplify the process for providers, Astalty not only facilitates the creation and dispatch of Service Agreements but also allows you to set the expiration dates for these agreements.
You can configure notifications to alert your team about upcoming expirations and generate reports—like the one shown below—to easily track missing, expired, and current documentation.
